Organizational Effectiveness

Organizational Effectiveness is the extent to which a firm is internally aligned to facilitate continuous improvement, embracing necessary change. It also encompasses evaluation of prudent balance between management stability and change leadership.

Key Questions to Think About

  • Within your organization, once a healthy Go-to-Market process is defined integrating an understanding of the Key Success Factors, how optimized will your organization be to execute against that strategy?
  • Will the rubber meet the road?
  • Through what magical combination of managing internal and partner resources, how can your firm most effectively bring value-added applications and services to market?
  • Are you prepared to make the changes needed to facilitate this?

Organizational Effectiveness is the second unique Key Success Factor that also has the ability to affect the other seven Key Success Factors, either positively or negatively. Because it can have such an impact across all the other Key Success Factors, and because research has shown time after time that an organization can only be as strong as its weakest link in the 8 KSFs, honest self-evaluations of a firm's standing on this KSF is often challenging.

Organizational Effectiveness is not only about the leadership team. It's often about processes - the ways in which things "have always been done here." It's not surprising that this is one area that so many firms struggle with.
