In today's competitive business environment, it is increasingly critical for your people to work together across boundaries, with each other, and with customers and partners. Windows Vista, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 provide accurate "anywhere access" to essential information. Your people will be able to share information in innovative ways regardless of where they are. New capabilities enable people to manage all of their communication, including e-mail, voice mail, or instant messaging, from a single inbox—while enabling access to that inbox from multiple devices and locations. With these new tools, working away from the office or participating in meetings off-site becomes an easier, more productive experience. No matter where your people are working from, they can confidently and easily collaborate with each other and gain access to information, all from within the familiar Microsoft Office system programs they already know and use.

Product Story

Enable your mobile workers to maximize their time away from the office with new tools for finding, sharing, and using information. Windows Vista enables users to share applications, jointly edit files among small groups in meetings, and project presentations wirelessly. Users can access network information and commonly used files while on the road. And, intelligent background synchronization keeps people connected to the most recent file information, automatically updating any changes made to a document the next time a user connects to the network. Additionally, key mobile settings can now be controlled from one simple location, making portable computers more effective with improved power management and wireless support.

With improved communication and collaboration capabilities, the 2007 Office system and Exchange Server 2007 enable effective management of various types of devices and modes of communication—from e-mail and instant message capabilities to audio, video, and Web conferencing. Group workspaces use advanced information sharing tools that help team members work collaboratively whether they are offline or online. Additionally, RSS, blogs, wikis, and an automated alerts system keep all team members aware of status changes, reducing the likelihood of costly miscommunication.
