What are the available Microsoft licensing options?
Microsoft offers a number of licensing options to meet your needs.

They are:

1. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) software licenses are acquired when you buy a computer with software legally preinstalled. If you have ever purchased a computer from the store with Microsoft Windows® or Microsoft Office system suite installed, you have acquired a license for OEM software. OEM licenses are not transferrable from PC to PC and may be used only on the computer that the software was preinstalled on.

2. Full Packaged Product (FPP) is boxed, shrink-wrapped software. Licenses for this type of software are acquired. FPP is for consumers or small business who are looking to acquire a small number of software licenses quickly and is ideal for home users. When upgrading to a new computer, you may transfer FPP licenses to new hardware no more than once.

3. Volume Licensing
Microsoft Volume Licensing offers customized programs that are designed to meet the needs of a business organization. Tailored to the size and purchasing preference of your company, these programs provide simple, flexible and affordable solutions that enable you to easily manage your licenses.
