Martin Gutberlet is a research vice president with Gartner Technology and Service Provider Research group. His research focuses on the fixed and mobile operator market worldwide, unified communications, and the services offered to enterprise customers for voice and data. Mr. Gutberlet has considerable industry experience with vendors, network operators and enterprises. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Gutberlet worked as partner and director of telecommunications for an international management consulting company. Formerly, he worked for several years with a global telecommunications supplier, performing the roles of product and customer solution manager and international account management positions. During that time, he was accountable for assisting emerging telecommunications operators into the German market. These included new entrants and existing global players in both the wireless and wireline communication areas. Before that, Mr. Gutberlet worked with a German telecom vendor as a technical account engineer responsible for the design of public network architectures. In 1992, he co-founded an IT company for distribution of computer hardware. He was also sales representative for a German reseller, where he was responsible for semiconductor and electrical devices. |
