Q: How do I register for the Small Business Summit?
A: Registration is not required to watch the Microsoft Small Business Summit. You can simply view it online at www.sbsummit.com.
Q: Where can I get information about the three days of the event?
A: The Summit guest lineup provides a day-by-day overview of the event. Just click the date tabs to move between the event days. Alternatively, you can advance using the "Previous" or "Next" buttons to view the previous or next day's sessions.
Q: Is there any physical location where I can go to see this event, rather than viewing it online?
A: We've designed the Summit as an online program, so you don't have to spend so much time out of the office. However, many Microsoft Small Business Specialists are hosting Summit events where customers can have access to small business IT professionals while watching the Summit online. Check with your local Microsoft Small Business Specialist to see if there is a Summit event in your area.
Q: How do I view the Summit live?
A: Sessions are delivered as streaming video and audio broadcasts you can view on your computer as they happen live. A few minutes before the broadcast is scheduled to begin, go to www.sbsummit.com to view the live broadcast. The Small Business Summit will be broadcast live Tuesday, October 14 – Thursday, October 16 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (PDT). Each day’s sessions will be re-broadcast from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT) and again from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT) following the live broadcast.
Q: Can I interact with the live sessions?
A: Yes. The Summit B2B Chat experience will enable you to connect with other small business owners that are watching the Summit. A chat window will be present to the right as you watch the sessions. Simply login with your Windows Live ID to participate in the chat. You can also use this tool to submit questions to the session host or guests. Your question may be answered live during the broadcast.
Q: If I miss a scheduled session, how can I watch it again that day?
A: Immediately following the live broadcast (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM [PDT]), the sessions for the day will be re-broadcast from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT) and again from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT). You may visit the site and view the re-broadcast between those hours.
Q: Can I view the sessions on-demand after the Summit?
A: Each session will be recorded and available for viewing on-demand online. As soon as they are available, on-demand broadcasts will be accessible by visiting www.microsoft.com/smallbusiness.
Q: In what format will the sessions be broadcast? Do I need to install a program or software to watch the sessions?
A: All sessions will be broadcast via streaming Flash video, through a special player. This will require the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. Your computer may already have this program installed. If not, you can download it for free by clicking the button below.
Q: What are the system requirements for Adobe Flash Player?

Q: I am having difficulties hearing the audio for the session.
A: There is a dedicated audio control on the Summit video player. Simply rollover the video with your mouse to activate the pop-up controls. Use the volume slider to adjust the audio. Also, check to ensure the "mute" button is not activated. If you continue to experience trouble, send an email to support@sbsummit.com.
Q: I am having difficulties viewing the session (black screen, choppy picture, delayed sound).
A: Since the Summit is broadcast live through streaming video, you may need to re-establish a connection with the video stream. To do so, refresh your browser window to reload the page. If you continue to experience trouble, send an email to support@sbsummit.com.
Q: I am having difficulties joining the chat room. I am unable to send messages to the chat room.
A: To participate in the Summit B2B Chat, you must login with a valid Windows Live ID. Verify that your login information has been entered correctly. If you continue to experience trouble, send an email to support@sbsummit.com.
