South African Hospital Chain eliminates high bandwidth costs with Thin-Client architecture and centralised ICT (13 July 2005)
Medi-Clinic, one of South Africa’s largest private healthcare providers, wanted to centralise control of its information and communications technology (ICT) at 65 sites across the country.
Integr8 IT, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, recommended Microsoft Windows Server 2003, part of Microsoft Windows Server System integrated server software, and the Active Directory service. Medi-Clinic also decided to deploy Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server on a national basis, with a thin-client architecture and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 collaboration and messaging server.
