Follow these steps to uninstall Microsoft Messenger for Mac.
Log in to your computer with administrative credentials.
Quit Messenger for Mac if it is running.
Drag the Microsoft Messenger application to the Trash.
To remove your existing Messenger for Mac preferences, delete the following files:
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Messenger.plist
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Messenger.rtc.plist
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Microsoft Messenger User Cache.plist
/Users/username/Documents/Microsoft Messenger.log (this file is present only if you turned on Messenger Logging)
To remove all Messenger for Mac files from your computer, delete the following folders in /Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data:
Microsoft Messenger Data
Messenger Corporate Data
Microsoft Messenger History
Note If you remove the Microsoft Messenger History folder, you will delete all conversations that are saved in the Conversation History.
