DISCO

One of Argentina's largest grocery chains, Disco S.A. relies on an automatic replenishment system to manage inventory. Originally running on Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000, Disco upgraded to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and revised procedures to achieve significant performance gains. Running on SQL Server 2005, the automatic replenishment system manages the company's entire distribution system, giving managers at Disco up-to-the-minute information on inventory in every store.

The Indianapolis Colts football team needs to engage and interact with fans over the Internet, and to use that relationship to drive incremental revenue. However, the team’s old Web site wasn’t up to the task. The Colts then used Microsoft® software to build a comprehensive social networking site, through which the team is providing a fast, reliable, and engaging fan experience. The team also has the capabilities needed to profit from its Web traffic, including the ability to collect extensive fan profile data, create comprehensive reports, and integrate with sponsors’ Web sites. By building its new solution on Microsoft software, the Colts delivered more functionality than originally envisioned and now have a solution that can be easily and cost-effectively supported.
