SQL Server Standard Edition for Small Business
This edition of SQL Server is an entry level edition that is intended for use in small single-server office environments with a small user base. SQL Server Standard for Small Business provides the capabilities of SQL Server Standard Edition, however it is limited to 75 users and has the following additional restrictions for its operating environment:
Windows Server 2008 Standard
Windows Server 2008 Standard without Hyper-V
Windows Small Business Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 for Windows Essential Server Solutions
Windows Server 2008 without Hyper-V for Windows Essential Server Solutions
It must be joined to a domain where a single server in the domain must contain all the flexible single master operations (FSMO) roles and is the root of the Active Directory forest,
The domain cannot have trust relationships with any other domains,
The domain cannot have any child domains, and
The sum of users and devices in the domain cannot exceed 75.
The customer may not run instances of the server software, separately licensed or otherwise, at the same time in another operating system environment within the same domain.
Please note that this edition of SQL Server is only licensed by CALs and not per processor, and therefore can only be used to host applications and websites that are accessed by users covered with a CAL.
