Set up a mobile hotspot

Set up a mobile hotspot and let other devices connect to the Internet through your Surface.

Create a hotspot using the AT&T AllAccess app

With your Surface 2 (AT&T 4G LTE), you can share your mobile broadband Internet connection. The shared connection is called a mobile hotspot. Connect your friends and you can all access the Internet from anywhere you have mobile broadband service. Here’s how to get it set up.

Data used by any device on the mobile hotspot will count against your data for the month. For more info, see Manage your mobile broadband data use.

You can quickly create a mobile hotspot using the AT&T AllAccess app. To do this:

Step 1: Tap or click the AT&T mobile broadband app tile.
If it’s not on your Start screen, swipe up from the middle of your screen to open All apps, and then tap or click it in the apps list.
Step 2: Tap or click Mobile Hotspot.
Step 3: Follow the onscreen instructions.

If you can’t create the mobile hotspot, it may be that your data plan doesn’t include this feature. Check with AT&T if you have questions.
