Välkommen till en spännande heldag med Ronald Beekelaar som ger en djup teknisk översikt av Forefront Client Security, Server Security och Edge Security.

Forefront Overview
In the first session, we focus on
understanding how the Forefront products
combine protection for clients and servers,
and management capabilities. To implement a
well-managed infrastructure, the Forefront
products provide an easy way to configure
the individual Forefront servers, and to
collect and act upon events and alerts from
multiple sources. Also, this session
explores how the different products
integrate with Network Access Protection
(NAP) to check for the health of client
computers before they are allowed to access
the local or remote network.

Forefront Client Security
Forefront Client Security (FCS) is a new
security product from Microsoft. It helps
protect business desktops, laptops, and
servers from threats such as spyware,
rootkits, as well as viruses and other
traditional attacks. FCS enables
administrators to configure a single policy
for anti-virus, anti-spyware and security
state assessment.
This session gives you an in-depth view into
the deployment of FCS in a one, two or four
server topology. Also the session covers the
administrative configuration settings, and
the different options to distribute FCS
policies to clients, laptops and servers.
Finally, we examine how FCS provides
reporting, alerting and monitoring based on
Microsoft Operations Manager and Microsoft
SQL Server.

Forefront Server Security
The Microsoft Forefront Server security products help protect Microsoft
Exchange 2007 servers and Microsoft Office
SharePoint Server 2007 servers against
viruses, spam, and inappropriate content.
The product includes multiple scan engines
from industry-leading anti-virus vendors to
increase the chance to detect new viruses
and other malicious content as soon as
possible.
This session provides a drill down into how
Forefront Security for Exchange (FSE) scans
email messages on the different Exchange
2007 server roles, and how to configure FSE
for optimal scanning performance, while
maintaining effective security of the
mailbox servers. Also the session explains
how Forefront Security for SharePoint (FSS)
scans for infected documents, keywords for
inappropriate language, and non-compliant
file types, and how the configuration of
realtime and manual scan jobs can be changed
to optimize performance.
In this session, we will also cover
Forefront Server Security Management Console
(FSSMC). This is a new security product to
manage multiple Forefront Server products,
such as FSE and FSS. You will learn how to
use and configure FSSMC to centrally manage
Forefront Server configuration, distribute
scan engine updates to Forefront servers,
provide high-availability, and manage
quarantine and reports from Forefront
servers.

Forefront Edge Security
The Forefront Edge Security family of
products helps to provide secure remote
access from the Internet to servers on the
internal network. Internet Security and
Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 protects
inbound and outbound network connections,
and is capable of doing application-layer
inspection of network traffic. Intelligent
Application Gateway (IAG) 2007 runs on top
of ISA 2006 and provides SSL-based
application access (SSL VPN) and endpoint
security management.
In this session, we will look into detail
how to configure and customize IAG 2007, and
provide secure remote access to applications
from client computers on the Internet. This
includes gateway configuration,
customization and application management to
control user-based access and authorization.
Also, the session discusses how to configure
client computer security checks to protect
the network from client computer that do not
meet endpoint security policies.
