1 Year FREE hosting for students studying in Switzerland!
Microsoft Switzerland GmbH, in collaboration with its hosting partners Iway and Webland, is offering free web site hosting to students in Swiss Universities, Universities of Applied Science and Vocational schools. The offer starts July 17th and expires May 31st 2012* for a maximum of 250 students.
Register by sending a mail to us from your University email address containing your first name, last name, phone, postal address and postal code and a scanned copy of your student card**. If you own a domain name you want to use, please provide it with your personal information. If you are studying at a vocational, school and your school hasn’t given you a personal e-mail address, you may send your entry from your private e-mail address. We will then validate if you are eligible for the offer and notify you by mail. The offer is valid for the first 250 eligible participating students and there is a limitation of 1 account per student. No registrations will be accepted after May 31st 2012.
We will forward each participant’s data to one of our hosting partners. From them you will get an email containing your new account information. This will include a file with all your publishing information and will allow you to quickly configure your settings in applications like Microsoft WebMatrix.
WebMatrix is a free tool from Microsoft that makes the task of creating, editing and publishing your site easy. It allows you to intelligently publish only the files that have changed locally, automatically configure your server for maximum compatibility, and keep your development environment in sync with the live published version of your site.
