All Swiss students studying at an accredited academic organization that is connected with the Swiss Authentication and Authentication Infrastructure from SWITCH can access a basic set of development software titles for free as defined in more detail in the use terms.

The Swiss Dreamspark at the Development Software for Students portal provides access to a selected set of software titles necessary for software design and development. All Swiss students can access these titles when their university or university of applied sciences is connected to SWITCHaai. The exact use terms can be read each time before a product download starts. This portal is a supplement to MSDN AA. MSDN AA offer more extensive list of software titles and addresses technical students who make downloads via the MSDN AA subscription of their institution.
