The Service Pack 1 (SP1) release supports Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008, integrates support for Intel’s vPro technology, and provides an update to the Asset Intelligence capability initially shipped in Configuration Manager.

On February 8, 2008 Microsoft made available for download the anticipated Release Candidate Configuration Manager, SP1 and R2 releases.

Microsoft claims it has the tool for deploying Vista: System Center Configuration Manager 2007. eWEEK Labs tests show that its indeed a tool for deploying Vista, but not the only one that should be considered.
