With Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization, application administration can be simplified.

The core of SoftGrid's intelligent management is the SoftGrid Management Web Service, which provides a central service for administering SoftGrid servers and applications. Through this, you can publish applications, control server settings, and more.
Assigning and changing applications is done through SoftGrid's integration with Active Directory. When ready for a new application, IT simply brings it up and assigns it to users via group membership. If there is an issue, or IT wants to remove the application or the publishing, the administrator disables the application in the management console and at next desktop configuration refresh it is gone, because it was never really "there" in the first place.
You can configure and manage SoftGrid from a single console:

| • | Set up account authorities, provider policies, applications, and more. |
| • | Assign application privileges via Active Directory. |
| • | Configure Server groups |
