General Mills

General Mills has used Microsoft Tag in both events and couponing scenarios. At the 2009 XGames General Mills used a Tag on a Totino's Pizza flyer so that event attendees could retrieve a daily schedule of where their sponsored skier, Dany Kass. On April 26th General Mills placed a Tag in a region's newspaper free standing insert so that consumers could download a food coupon and receive recipies on their phones.

GMR Marketing chose Microsoft Tag to interactive enable the exhibits for the Best Buy Live Mobile Tour. The tour which is traversing the United States between April and November enables visitors to learn more about the products right at the moment using their mobile phones without having to remember URLs to be accessed later.

Adler Planetarium and Department of Aviation photo exhibit

Located at the O’Hare International Airport, From Earth to the Universe displays 50 astronomical images each containing a Microsoft Tag. Onlookers can use their trusty Internet enabled mobile camera phones to retrieve more information about each stunning picture. Behind each Microsoft Tag a specially-created mobile website has been created with the help of the Kavli Institute of Cosmological Physics to take this universal experience to a deeper level.
