Q: Hi, all. What are the differences between Commerce Server and Business Server?
A: Small Business Server is for small businesses. It is designed for businesses up to 50 computers.
A: Commerce Server is for medium and large companies. Another major difference is that SBS does not have on-line commerce functionality; whereas, Commerce Server does.
A: For more information about either of these you can find the product pages at www.microsoft.com/sbserver and www.microsoft.com/commerceserver.

Q: When will be the next version of commerce server ?
A: The next version of Commerce Server is also the next version of all of Microsoft E-Business products, code named Jupiter. It is planned to be released in 2005.

INFO: Commerce Server 2002 SP2 will be released very soon. Please see www.microsoft.com/commerceserver. The service pack will enable Commerce Server to run on Windows 2003.

INFO: Updated Installation instructions on how to install Commerce Server 2002 on Windows Server 2003 will be posted after CS SP2 is released.

Q: When will betatest of commerce server codename jupiter start ?
A: Jupiter is a build on the combination of functionalities Commerce Server, Content Management Server, and BizTalk. The betatest date is not yet determined. You can find out more as we get closer by continuing to participate in these chat sessions.
