Event Overview
|
This session gives an overview of select Windows® Server™ 2003 command line tools and scripts. Scenarios demonstrate how command line tools can automate administration of a broad range of Windows Server 2003 tasks, including administration of Active Directory®, management of printers and print queues, and remote information-gathering by help desk personnel. The presentation will conclude with a discussion of the Windows Management Instrumentation Command-line (WMIC) tool.
Presenter: Kevin Remde, TechNet Presenter, Microsoft Corporation
Kevin is a native MinneSNOWtan, growing up and still living in the suburbs just west of Minneapolis. While originally a music student (and after realizing there was no money in it) he completed his BA in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!) in 1988. For the past 15 years, he has been a Software Engineer, an Information Systems Professional, and eventually I.S. Manager for a manufacturing and ERP software company.
