Viewing Service Status

You can view the status of all active services through the Status Web page in the Zero Touch Services portal. View the status of active services by completing the following steps:

1.

Open Internet Explorer.

2.

Browse to http://servername/sites/ztp/Info/Status.aspx (where servername is the name of your ZTP provisioning server).

The Status Web page is displayed as illustrated in Figure 1, and Table 1 describes what each status message indicates.

Text In Status Contains...Indication

Approval Action forwarded Approval request to Approval Service

Approval request has been sent to the approver by e-mail. The approver needs to approve the request by completing the steps in “Viewing and Approving Service Action,” later in this guide.

If the request is:

Approved, then:

An e-mail is sent to the requestor indicating the request is approved.

The specified package image is deployed from SMS.

The status of the service is changes to SENDCOMPLETIONALERT ACTION.

Rejected, then:

An e-mail is sent to the requestor indicating the request is rejected.

The status of the service is changes to SENDCOMPLETIONALERT ACTION.

Approval Action Exception for Service Request

Indicates the approver responded to the approval request e-mail and either approved or rejected the request.

SENDCOMPLETIONALERT ACTION

Request has been approved, and the user is now removed from the distribution list.

Note   The SENDCOMPLETIONALERT ACTION indicates that the service completed successfully. Any other status indicates the service is not complete.

You can limit the services displayed by selecting any combination of filters listed in Table 2 (by default, the Status Web page displays all services).

Service Name

Type of service being run.

Requesting User

User initiating the service request.

Target User

User who is being targeted by the request.

Target Machine

Computer being targeted by the request.

Current Action

Current action being performed by the service.

Status

Status message for the current action.

Close all open windows.
