Overview of ASP.NET Setup (IIS 6.0)

Microsoft ASP.NET is installed with the Microsoft .NET Framework through Web downloads, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET installations, and as a service on all products in the Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 family.


ASP.NET is a part of the .NET Framework. You must install the .NET Framework to install ASP.NET.

This section describes the necessary steps to install and enable ASP.NET on all platforms that support it. It also explains how to uninstall ASP.NET and includes a troubleshooting section that addresses common problems encountered once ASP.NET is installed.
