As part of the 2008 Winter Scripting Games the Script Center is profiling competitors who recorded a perfect score in the 2007 Scripting Games. Here, in his own words, is a little something about Anoop Puthan Veetil, who received a perfect score in the VBScript Beginners division.

I work in an Indian MNC in Hyderabad, developing scripts to automate routine activities to as great an extent as possible. I also develop small nifty utilities (HTA's using VBScript and JavaScript) for my friends and colleagues, utilities which simplify their daily tasks. I fell in love with VBScript shortly after being introduced to it, and, since I had prior programming experience with Visual Basic, it was easy for me to master. I am an ardent fan of the Liverpool Football Club (my hero being the captain, Steven Gerrard :) and soccer en masse; I try to watch as many matches as possible. I can be contacted at anoop.pv7@gmail.com.
Scripting Tips
| • | Scripts for almost all basic activities can be found at the ScriptCenter or at the Microsoft TechNet Scripting Discussion newsgroup. Make sure that you thoroughly review these resources before turning elsewhere. |
| • | Always remember: "Search is one of your best friends!”. Learn to use the various options provided by your favorite search engine so that you can refine the results to as narrow a margin as possible. |
| • | Never shy from asking for help. There are lots of people out there who are ready to help, or to at least point you in the right direction. And, last but not the least; try out all the possible ways to obtain the results before you give up: hard work always pays off :) |
