As part of the 2008 Winter Scripting Games the Script Center is profiling competitors who recorded a perfect score in the 2007 Scripting Games. Here, in his own words, is a little something about Helder Sepulveda, who received perfect scores in both the VBScript Beginners and VBScript Advanced divisions.

I guess my wife (Elena Cozzarolo) already sent you guys her profile. That hacker is always getting ahead of me!
Last year I was 27, and next year I will be older than this one. I already gave up on the algorithm that will keep me at the same age, however I'm still working on a script that will give us a 5-day weekend and just 1 business day. Yes, a 6-day week and a 5-week month. I’m not sure about the math for the year, but definitely not 365.242199 days; that is one ugly number.
Sometimes I wonder how I ended up as a programmer; there are so many things to see outside! Is it because it’s addictive? My wife has to call me "mega" times to eat; debugging feels like I'm somewhere else; and there is always a new language to learn. Besides, I’d rather stay an extra hour at work than have to deal with the road rage at rush hour. On top of that, the outside is always so hot, at least down here in South Florida. Darn tropical weather!
And to conclude, a bit about myself. I was born in Cuba and came to the US 5.7 years ago. I fell in love with an "Italiana", married her, and now get to eat pizza and pasta every day! Besides coding I like playing with hardware. We have no TV, just a bunch of computers! One of these computers is a miniature server that crashes every once in a while. You can check if it's working here:http://www.sepuweb.com.
Have fun in the Scripting Games!

Some Scripting Tips
| • | If you need to get it done fast, scripts are your best choice! |
| • | If you use "Open With Command Prompt" a lot this article might be very helpful: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/resources/qanda/apr07/hey0424.mspx. |
| • | For those who are constantly creating new VBScript scripts, using a template will come in really handy: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/guide/sas_sbp_mqxh.mspx. |
| • | Arguments are nice! And by using them, you can drag and drop files to your script! Give it a try: For I = 0 to WScript.Arguments.Count – 1 Wscript.Echo WScript.Arguments.Item(I) Next |
