Here, in one location, in an easy-to-read format, is the schedule for the 2008 Winter Scripting Games. You might have noticed there are two schedules here. One is for the Scripting Games. The other is for the Sudden Death Challenge, events designed for those of you who finish your Scripting Games events so quickly that you need something else to keep you busy for two weeks.
Note that in the schedule of Scripting Games events, the event number (you know, Event 1, Event 2, etc.) means that event in all divisions. So if the schedule says Event 1 is due at 8:00 AM PST on February 20, 2008, that means Event 1 in the Beginners and Advanced Divisions, in VBScript, Windows PowerShell, and Perl. So if you’re going to try all of them, well, you’ll be busy.
Time Zones. Wondering what 8:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) means in your part of the world? Take a look at this handy chart that to find out what an 8:00 AM deadline in Redmond means to you.
Just a reminder, the Sudden Death Challenge is not part of the Scripting Games events. If you don’t have your hands full just trying to finish up the Games events, then go ahead and give these a try too. Because these aren’t part of the Games events we’ll be keeping score for these events separately.
