Summary

Advances in Internet connectivity not only enable productivity in an increasingly mobile work force, but expose the enterprise resources to an ever-increasing number of security threats. Access control is a collection of technologies that help organizations realize their identity and access management solutions while mitigating the information security threats and vulnerabilities. The goal of access control is to protect an organization’s information technology resources from unauthorized access while facilitating seamless and legitimate use of these resources.
