The solution provides a comprehensive platform on which ISVs can deliver software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings, proficiently manage day-to-day operations, and exceed customer expectations.

Windows-based Hosting for Applications is a set of tightly integrated systems and services that create operational efficiencies for ISVs that want to host applications. The solution builds on the proven Microsoft Solution for Windows-based Hosting, but is specifically designed to help service providers and ISVs better manage hosted applications.

What do you get with the solution? A set of tools, tested best practices, scripts, sample code, and step-by-step deployment guidance that enables you to incorporate Windows Server System products and technologies into a hosting environment. The solution enables you to deploy operations and infrastructure components that support hosted applications, yet also provides considerable deployment flexibility. You can install just those components and services that meet your business needs or you can introduce specific components into an existing data center platform. The following figure illustrates how the solution's operational features provide a foundation for hosted applications.
