An Application Envisioning Proof of Concept Experience with Microsoft Expression Blend
Expression Blend™ is a design program that allows users to quickly create compelling application interfaces for Windows and web applications. The user interface designs created in Expression Blend can be directly associated with development code. As a result, non-technical users can deliver graphical mockups of applications to software developers. Those mockups are then directly ported into the application development process. Program Managers, Analysts, and Business Process Owners within Microsoft IT used the power of this functionality to iteratively refine a proof of concept for a major line of business application. The design concept was repeatedly and easily modified. After this iterative process, developers could immediately begin to build the application from the modified design elements. Microsoft IT determined that it could increase productivity and quality for Program Management, Analysts, and Business Process Owners during the application envisioning phase.
