Change Search History and other Bing Settings
When you search the Internet with MSN Toolbar, you can choose whether to keep a history of all the search terms that you enter. This saves you from typing them again if you want to repeat a prior search. You can also change other Bing settings, such as how many search results to display on a page, whether to display search results that contain sexually explicit text or images, what your current location is, and what language websites you want to search.
To turn search history off or on, click the Settings button on the search bar. Click Bing, select or clear the Enable Search History Tracking check box, and then click OK. When search history is turned on, every search that you type in the search box is saved, and when you type a new search, matching searches are displayed as you type.
To change your Bing settings, click the Settings button on the search bar. Click Bing, and then click Bing site. Select the settings that you want, and then click Save. To clear your search history, type the initial letter of any prior search in the search box. For example, if you've previously searched for search bar, you can type "s". At the bottom of the list of search terms, click Clear History. |
