The Microsoft Visual OpenType Layout Tool (VOLT) is a tool for adding OpenType layout tables to fonts. Before using the tool, we recommend that you first study the OpenType font specification, in particular the OpenType Layout section.

VOLT Users Community

In November 1999, we set up an MSN online community to help support and get feedback on Microsoft VOLT. This community has recently been retired. A new community has been set up by Fontlab. Contents from the old community have been archived on the new site. We encourage VOLT users to contribute to the community. VOLT users should check the community's message board and known bug list before mailing questions to VOLT's developers.
