A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

“Friends, comrades and Web surfers, welcome to the official Web site of the Republic Courier New. Alongside my comrades in arms, I participated in the struggle to liberate this typeface. While spending many years in exile I dreamed about its freedom. On 1 March 1996 Courier New was finally set free.

But freedom was not an end in itself. We have had to develop the character set, restore democratic embedding, create glyphs and compress the nation’s wealth held by a tiny minority, all the while taking care to further typeface reconciliation.

Courier New is a free typeface, available to the world. Foreign downloads are welcome. My government offers you the keys to design freedom on the Web: a free trade zone, download page, state aid for job creation, and skilled workers. The services of the Courier New government remain entirely at your disposition for further research and information.”
