Euro symbol added to Microsoft core fonts

Redmond, WA. - 9 January 1998

Microsoft have made new versions of Times New Roman, Arial and Courier New for Windows 95 and NT that include the euro currency symbol. Download the new fonts from the TrueType core fonts for the Web page and see the Euro FAQ for more information about the new currency symbol.

11 April 2005 - Update

The Microsoft Web fonts are now available from Ascender Corp. Users can license the latest versions, companies can acquire site licenses and OEM's and ISV's can license the fonts for redistribution. Ascender can also provide custom versions of the fonts to meet specific customer needs. Also for the first time PostScript and OpenType CFF versions of Verdana, Trebuchet, Georgia, Comic Sans and Webdings are available to graphic designers and publishers.
