Oyez, Oyez, Oyez,

To all of you who wanted to enter designs to bukva:raz! but thought there is no time left for that, here comes a great news: we are pushing the deadline for submission to Monday, 19th November. You are getting a two-week extension!

Therefore, the final-final cut-off date will be Monday, the 19th (all entries must be delivered to the bukva:raz! office by that date). For details, visit our Web site, at www.atypi.org/bukvaraz, where you can find all information for entering your work, and the printable entry form.

Just a few key points, for your quick reference:

- The faces created for *all* scripts and writing systems are acceptable--including Latin (our competition is not a contest in non-Latin type design only), as well as typographic ornaments, icons, symbol and pi fonts, etc.;

- The *deadline* for submission is Monday, 19th November 2001 (all entries must be delivered to the bukva:raz! office by that date);

- Participation in bukva:raz! is free; there is *no fee* for entering, and there are no hanging fees for the winning entries. So why wouldn't you submit *all* of your best designs from the last five years, rather than just picking one or two?

If you have questions regarding any aspects of bukva:raz!-- e.g. the rules of participation, the submission procedure, the judging, etc.,--do not hesitate to ask. I can be easily reached by mail, by phone, by fax, and by e-mail (see above). It will be my pleasure to assist you.

You may also want to contact Anna Shmeleva, the secretary of our competition; she can be found at the following address: bukva:raz! 21 Rozhdestvensky Boulevard., Bldg. 2, Moscow 103045, Russia. Tel. + 7(095)928-3688, + 7(095)332-4001; fax + 7(095)129-0911; e-mail bukvaraz@atypi.org

Thanks in advance for your contribution to bukva:raz!

Regards, Maxim
