Better performance : WEFT 2 is much faster a building page lists and analyzing pages. URL page picker : There's no need to enter the URL of the page or site you intend to analyze. Using a page picker you can navigate directly to the right page. Easier subset maintenance : Now you can load, save, paste or enter character subsets directly from your keyboard. Expert font creation : Advanced users can skip the tools page analysis and can quickly create font objects using a new 'expert font creation' option. Add fonts button : Once WEFT 2 has analyzed your pages you can add additional fonts using an add fonts button on 'the fonts to embed' screen. Support for Type 1 fonts : WEFT 2 can embed PostScript Type 1 fonts on a vendor by vendor basis. The Beta version of WEFT 2 lets you embed fonts by Adobe and Monotype. Additional vendor permissions will be added in future versions. COM objects : Advanced users will find these COM objects useful when writing server based applications. Please see the Font Embedding SDK for more information on how to use these COM objects. Command line interface : This interface is another feature that advanced users will find useful, especially when writing server based applications or automating the creation of font objects.
Advanced upload features : WEFT 2 supports http, https and FrontPage server uploads, making site maintenance much easier.
