Silverlight Teaching Programme

Register your interest to come join an exclusive group that will look at Silverlight, a rich internet technology, in teaching. Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications (RIA) for the web. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in the "next web" and creating more compelling web experiences inside the browser. So if you would like to register your interest about joining this exciting group please email us at ukacinfo@microsoft.com

Silverlight Insight Day

Microsoft Silverlight is a technology which powers rich application experiences and delivers high quality, interactive video across the Web and mobile devices through a powerful browser-based runtime. It is cross-platform and cross-browser and has been adopted by major media and web organisations to provide their users with compelling services and applications.

Demand from web agencies, enterprises and software houses for graduates skilled in this technology is already high, and we believe that this will increase as Silverlight adoption grows.

Silverlight Insight is a one-day event designed to give attendees a solid understanding of the Silverlight 2 platform and of the Microsoft Expression Studio toolset. It is relevant to both developers and designers alike, and comprises tutor-led sessions and hands-on exercises.

Participants will also receive a copy of the Silverlight 2 curriculum which can be customised and adapted to individual teaching needs, as well as a copy of Silverlight 2 Bible by Brad Dayley.

  • If you are interested in participating, please send an email to pbarone@microsoft.com to book your place in the session.
  • If you think other members of your department may be interested as well, please contact pbarone@microsoft.com
