Imagine Cup 2009

How it works

The Imagine Cup brings together the very best students from all over the world. This year’s world final will take place in Egypt. But to get there, you’ve got to win in the UK first! To take part in the UK competition you’ll need to create a team of between two and four competitors and complete two submission elements.

Round One

Articulate the problem you’re trying to solve and how you to plan to solve it using Microsoft technology. Think BIG problems and BIG solutions!

Round Two

Submit your working solution and an A0 poster which summarises your entry. This will be used to judge your entry with a demo of the solution created.
This must be submitted by 11.59 p.m. on 1 April 2009

Your entry must meet the following requirements, and at least one of the optional requirements below:

Required
  • For the worldwide final, you must have a fully functioning and implemented software application. However, for the UK final, we’ll require a working demo of your solution. Completed submission form, A0 presentation poster, and a screencast walkthrough of your solution
  • Implementation or consumption of an XML Web Service;
  • .NET Framework 2.0 or later
  • Visual Studio family (Express, Standard, Professional or Team System) for development
