With Software Assurance, your IT staff can stay up to date on the latest Microsoft product releases. And your employees can access technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — which means they can stay productive.
You will need to activate many of your Software Assurance benefits before you can begin using them. To activate your benefits, use the online Microsoft Volume Licensing Services tool. To use this tool, you will need:

The license agreement number on your license statement
•
The last name and e-mail address of the contact for your software license notices

Once you activate your Software Assurance benefits, Microsoft will send an e-mail containing all your program details to the appropriate person at your organization.
