| Q. | What does the recruitment and selection process involve? |
| A. | Your application will be processed on receipt and you will be contacted within 3-5 working days to let you know if you are going to be progressed. An initial telephone or face to face interview will be arranged by the Recruiter from the Recruitment Team to determine suitability for an interview. If successful, you will be invited for a series of interviews and/or an assessment day to be held at Microsoft Campus in Reading or the relevant Microsoft offices where you will have the opportunity to meet representatives in Microsoft. |
| Q. | Who manages the recruitment process? |
| A. | Norman Broadbent Plc. operate a full Recruitment function for permanent staff on behalf of Microsoft UK and administer all recruitment and selection activity as well as conducting initial screening and assessment and managing 3rd party agencies for the supply of candidates. You may therefore receive communications from Norman Broadbent Recruiters acting on behalf of Microsoft as a result of your application. |
| Q. | What about my confidentiality? |
| A. | Based on-site at Microsoft Campus the Norman Broadbent Recruitment team are bound by the same terms of confidentiality and professional conduct as Microsoft and give assurance that no information supplied by candidates will be disclosed to any external party or used for any activity other than consideration for Microsoft UK employment opportunities. |

| Q. | Will I receive feedback on my performance at each stage of the selection process? |
| A. | You will be notified of your progress by email at each stage of the process but we cannot commit to providing full feedback to all candidates Personal feedback will be provided after any interviews or assessment days take place. We are unable to provide feedback if you are unsuccessful at the initial application stage. |
| Q. | Is there a limit to the number of jobs I can apply for? |
| A. | A maximum of 3 active job applications can be in progress at any one time, so care should be taken when applying for positions. You should apply for the most appropriate job roles first as when you have reached the limit of 3, no more applications can be submitted at this time. As soon as you are no longer progressing one of the active applications, you will be able to re-apply. |

| Q. | Do you offer work experience / summer placements? |
| A. | Unfortunately we are unable to offer work experience or summer placements, however, we do offer a year Internship for University students and a Graduate scheme, details of which can be found under the Graduate section. |

| A. | We are not qualified to give careers advice but we do have a website which may be able to help: www.microsoft.com/uk/skills. Please also speak to your school/university careers centre who will be able to help. |
