Microsoft Careers: Putting People First

Putting People First

At Microsoft, we know that our people are our most important asset. We encourage them to create the most comfortable work-life balance for them. Providing services and facilities that help people to combine and carry out their commitments – both at work and at home.

Family FriendlyFamily Friendly

Having a family is easy when you work at Microsoft. Advice can be found through our great support network and we also offer practical help. A day nursery facility, independently operated by Bright Horizons, is based at our Thames Valley Park campus. Baby changing facilities, high chairs and toys can be found in the main restaurant area. We also have extended maternity and paternity policies and offer a ‘Bump Club' for all mums-to-be, offering antenatal classes.

Health MattersHealth Matters

Healthy, motivated people keep our business going – and we help to keep it that way. We have an on-site ‘Wellbeing Centre' at our Thames Valley Park campus, which provides access to an occupational healthcare physician and a number of advisors for consultation and advice on all health matters and medical concerns. We also offer ‘Well-women' and ‘Well-men' health days, weight management advice, smoking cessation support, massage, reflexology and acupuncture.

Time-OutTime-Out

A range of sports and social clubs offers everything from trips to the theatre, health spas and Disneyland, to mountain biking, sailing, cricket and football. Every year, there are a host of social occasions for employees and their families to get together and have fun.
