At Microsoft in the UK, our aim is to build UK prosperity, both socially and economically, through our Citizenship programmes.
We believe it’s important to contribute to the wider community and to take responsibility for the impacts we have on society, through our technology, our business and our behaviour. Working together with our employees, customers, partners, the IT industry and Government, we are able to go some way to making a positive, sustainable impact and help enable all to realise their true potential.
One of the areas in which we work to make a difference socially within Citizenship is through Community Affairs. Microsoft has successfully established an extensive network of non-profit partners who we work with to support community-based programmes and local projects which will enable more people to have access to technology. We give to a range of major charity projects both financially and through gifts in kind. In addition we support the investment of our employees in the community.
Unlimited Potential is a global Microsoft community investment programme focused on improving the quality of life for people around the world through monetary grants, software, technology solutions, curriculum donations and employee volunteer hours.
Ultimately, Microsoft believes that by working with our partners to provide training and tools, we can create social and economic opportunities that help transform communities and help people realise their potential.
