Working with our Partners, Microsoft delivers technology solutions and services that improve both student achievements and administrative processes. We also work with educators, educational organisations and industry partners to expand the world of learning, through technology programmes such as Partners in Learning and the Innovative Teachers Network.

More free training resources and materials for teachers

As part of the Partners in Learning programme, we develop training and curriculum materials for teachers, which are then made available free of charge. It includes a range of professional development resources, curriculum and learning materials designed to support teachers in developing further skills, from ICT and using ICT in the delivery of their lessons to investigating new approaches to teaching and learning.

Shireland Collegiate Academy build home-school links with their Learning Platform

The DfES e-strategy guide "Harnessing Technology" gave a view of how technology could support learning, raise engagement with parents, and contribute to raising standards across all schools. The Shireland Collegiate Academy story shows how they created a Learning Gateway for themselves and their partner schools, and used it to connect with their learners, parents and the wider community. It was described last year by Tony Blair as "one of the most remarkable ICT systems in the country".

Discover how the Leeds Learning Network is improving the quality of education in schools and beyond

Leeds is moving to the forefront of education in the UK by creating a local learning network. This connects 259 schools and more than 100,000 pupils and staff to deliver new educational and economic opportunities throughout the metropolitan borough. The Leeds Learning Network uses the Microsoft Learning Gateway to improve the quality of teaching, raise standards, and provide more learning opportunities for school pupils and adults across the city.
