UK Education Marketing Manager at Microsoft. Passionate about the role that technology plays in transforming teaching and learning, Tim is responsible for marketing Microsoft’s products and services to the UK academic sector. With a keen interest in cloud computing, Tim is committed to looking at how digital channels can add value to the wider community.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Tim was responsible for marketing at the University of London Computer Centre (ULCC) and founded the Future of Technology in Education (FOTE) conference.

I’m the Marketing Consultant for the UK PS Education team – I run events including the organization of BETT, Blog for schools, FE and HE, look after the budget and forecasting, help maintain the Education website as well as a whole manner of other things. I want to do my Digital Marketing Cert with IDM to further my career.

In my spare time, I like to compete in all manner of competitions and races – including completing the London Marathon 2010, a few half marathons and 10k’s , I have competed in UK Challenger 2 years consecutively with Microsoft, competed in Bewl Barrel Race 4 times and now training for my first triathlon.

And my biggest adventure will be my great white dive next year in Australia.

Microsoft is passionate about helping people realise their full potential and partners with many organisations across the education sector to help transform education and to excite inspire and create opportunities for students – at school, in life, at college and in an increasingly digital workplace. Clare has been with Microsoft for eight years and is responsible for Microsoft’s longer term relationships with Government and key organisations across the sector.

Day to day, she also leads on Microsoft’s engagement in government initiatives such as the Home Access programme and is involved in many digital inclusion initiatives in partnership with Martha Lane Fox and the Race Online 2012 team.

Clare was at the BBC before joining Microsoft, initially as a journalist and film-maker for many years. She also worked at the centre of the BBC, as Head of Business Management in the second half of the 90s. Her last role in the BBC was as Head of New Business Development for Education.

Mark Stewart

As the strategic education partner lead, I'm responsible for managing and developing the Microsoft partners who specialise in delivering products and services to the Education sector. Partners include Independent Software Vendors, System Integrators (Incl Global SI), Publishers, Resellers and other emerging partners who we are very interested in working with to build potential opportunities in the education area. I work across the UK Microsoft business groups to coordinate resources to provide the best possible experience for partners to work with Microsoft. We have created a UK education partner community where partners will be able to receive readiness, promote high profile solution wins and also participate in education forums around government policy and direction.

I have worked in the IT Industry for more than 25 years, covering a number of roles from consultancy, sales, business development and now partner development. I have been with Microsoft since 2005 and where I have worked with many leading commercial organizations regarding technology innovation adoption.

I have just completed my second year of Studying a BSc (HONS) in Business Management at the University of Surrey in June 2011.

I have now decided to take up the opportunity to work in industry for a year to improve my experience and skills on graduation. This has led me to work at Microsoft within the Public Sector Education Department. My Role consists of helping to run marketing projects across public sector education to ensure scope and impact on delivery of these initiatives and events.

Based in Northampton, I look after all of the Schools business in the North for Microsoft. When time permits I’m a football fan, competitive squash player and very amateur hiker.

Mark Reynolds

Mark Reynolds

Mark is the Schools Business Manager for Microsoft UK. He works with Local Authorities, Academy Groups and School Leaders to help them get the most from technology and to plan and deliver large scale ICT projects. Most of his current work is either focussed on Cost Saving, or on helping schools understand Cloud Computing and what it means for their pupils and staff.

Mark studied English and Sociology at the University of Manchester. He has worked in the UK Education market for 7 years and joined Microsoft in 2010. He is also a parent governor at Rush Common Primary School in Oxfordshire.
