Microsoft partners are independent companies that offer their clients industry-leading technology through consulting, deployment, help-desk support, hosting services, training and more.
There are three levels of Microsoft partners:
| • | Gold Certified |
| • | Certified |
| • | Registered |
In addition, Microsoft has launched the new Small-Business Specialist program to recognise partners with proven ability in providing solutions for small businesses. If you're looking for a small-business specialist, look out for the Small-Business Specialist logo.
There is a rigorous process involved in becoming a Certified partner and advancing to Gold Certified partner.
Partners must provide customer references and employee certifications proving their skills and experience. To be recognised as a Certified or Gold Certified partner, an organisation usually needs at least two Microsoft Certified Professionals working exclusively within the company.
