Route planner
Order AutoRoute

To get started creating a route, click Route Planner located in the Standard toolbar.

  1. Type an address, the name of a place, or the name of a pushpin.
  2. After selecting the place or address you want, click Add to Route (exact matches are automatically added).
  3. The first stop you enter is added as the start point.
  4. Subsequent stops are added to the route list in the order you enter them. You can add a stop by dragging the new segment onto your route.
  5. The stop you enter last is added as the end point.
  6. You can change the order of stops by clicking a stop in the route list, and then clicking Move Up or Move Down.
  7. To remove a stop from your route, click Delete Stop.
  8. After arranging all the stops in the order you want, click Get Directions to create your route on the map and get driving directions.
  9. To reverse the route, click Reverse Route. To remove the route, click on the Clear Route button.

Route Tips

  • You can customise your travel with stop/start times, driving speeds, fuel settings, and more, by clicking More options.
  • You can send your route to your mobile phone.
  • You can also create a route by right clicking a place or pushpin on the map, and then clicking one of the routing options.
  • To add stops quickly to a calculated route, select the route on the map (the route’s highlighted colour changes to blue) and then drag the route to the location you want to add. The route is snapped to include the new stop.
  • To find the fastest route for a route with several stops, click Optimise Stops.
  • Quickly switch among the Route Planner, the GPS Task Pane, the Legend and Overview Pane, and the Find Nearby Places Pane by selecting from the drop-down list in the title bar.
