Order AutoRoute

AutoRoute automatically provides you with the quickest route possible based on type of roads or other key information. You can also provide AutoRoute with your own personal travel preferences and driving information to get the optimal travel route based on the factors you select.

  • Change your driving preferences. Click on the More Options button in the Route Planner pane or under the Route menu on the menu bar. Select one of the five tabs at the top to update AutoRoute for a particular trip.
  • Profile. Provide AutoRoute with your preferences for the time of day during which you want to drive, and how often you like to take rest stops.
  • Driving speeds. Do you expect to drive faster or slower than average on different types of roads?
  • Fuel. What fuel economy do you get, how big is your tank, and when would you like to be notified that you should stop for fuel?
  • Costs. How much is a litre of fuel? Enter the price of fuel, and AutoRoute can provide a cost summary for your trip.
  • Segments. AutoRoute provides you with the flexibility to choose how you would like to travel. Between each destination in your trip, you are given the option of travelling as quickly as possible by selecting the Quickest button, which searches for major motorways and arterials, or you can take the shortest route between two destinations by selecting the Shortest button, which is based on distance only (and thus may take longer), but could also be more scenic. AutoRoute also gives you the option of defining the roads you want to travel on using the Preferred Road Types button. Just choose the type of driving you prefer for each segment of your trip, and AutoRoute will optimise the route for you.
