What is Microsoft Learning Manager?

Microsoft Learning Manager is your personal space on the Microsoft Learning website.
It’s where you can plan and manage your learning so that you can build new skills for a specific project and advance your career.

There are three areas in Learning Manager:

1. Learning Catalogue – browse a full listing of learning options by type, Microsoft product, subject area, or certification.

2. My Learning – save learning resources, activate and open learning resources, and track your progress toward completion. You can add learning options, such as classroom training, e-learning, Microsoft Press books, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exams to My Learning directly from the Learning Catalogue, the Microsoft learning website or the Microsoft E-learning website. Simply click the ‘Add to My Learning Button’ – see figure 1.

3. My Achievements – maintain a history of your completed learning, including exams and certifications.

How can I access Learning Manager?

You can access Learning Manager via links on the left navigation panels of the Microsoft Learning website and the Microsoft E-learning website.

On the Microsoft Certified Professional and Microsoft Certified Trainer member websites, the Learning Manager link is at the top of the home page, in the horizontal list of links.

Do I need to sign in to access Learning Manager?

You can use Learning Manager without signing in. However, if you want to activate or buy official E-learning resources from Microsoft, you must sign in with your Microsoft Passport or Windows Live ID. Having signed in once, you will need to continue to do so to access ‘My Learning’.

Can I access My Learning from any computer?

If you are signed in to Windows Live ID and you use Learning Manager, anything in ‘My Learning’ will be saved as part of your website profile. This means you can access ‘My Learning’ from any computer, using your Hotmail or MSN email address as your Windows Live ID.

If you are not signed in to Windows Live ID, anything in ‘My Learning’ will be saved on your computer, as long as you have cookies and have not prevented acceptance. You will need to access Learning Manager using the same computer. If you’ve bought or activated e-learning products, you will need to sign in with your Hotmail or MSN email address.
