Managing Multi-disciplinary project teams in the NHS

Much of the work of NHS Trusts is now about devising and implementing transformational change programmes in their organisation to meet the changing demands of the 21st century NHS.  Likely, this strategy coordinates national initiatives with local vision and programmes and results in a prioritised list of coordinated activities that might be termed projects.  These projects might be anything from the modernisation of maternity care, improving the integration of out-of-hours services, to managing the roll out of the National Primary Care Collaborative Programme, to redesigning pre-hospital care pathways for an ambulance service.  If you are a project manager working in the NHS it's likely you have seen all sorts of projects that needed to be delivered.
