Develop the family's creativity with the Microsoft Office system

Everyone bored at home? Nothing to do? Why not inspire your children's creativity and produce your own book together?

Why not scan some of their pictures, or if there isn't anything ready-made, go to Windows Paint (under Accessories) and they can draw and colour in their own original artwork. Then you need to work out a story, and put it all together using Microsoft Office Word 2007.

Download our sample chapter – Print Your Own Illustrated Children's Book – which gives you step-by-step instructions on how to layout and add interest to the book. It also gives you some ideas about producing it when it's all complete.
It's great fun to do, and will give them (and you!) a tremendous sense of achievement.

If the book idea seems a bit too daunting, why not create your own cards or invitations using Microsoft Office Publisher 2007? It's got so many professional features to make producing unique designs really straightforward. We have another sample chapter for you to download on making your own cards, which gives you loads of ideas.
