According to a recent survey, 83% of workers rate relationships with their co-workers as a critical reason for joining and staying with their employer. On the flip-side, one in four people leave a job due to feelings of isolation. Organisations that provide staff with tools to connect, build and manage their personal and professional networks, bond people to one another and to the organisation.
The Collaboration Fundamentals Solution Enabler enables NHS staff to create, discover, participate in, and manage a range of themed communities. The solution enabler is suitable for Trusts where:
  • Collaboration takes place via file shares, public folders, FTP sites, and email
  • It is difficult to find experts, like-minded individuals or special interest groups
  • It is difficult to find, manage and repurpose information
This solution enabler provides on-demand collaborative workspaces, discussion forums and a people directory. Users can discover communities and user groups, create their own groups and find people and experts to collaborate with, and ask questions of. After implementing the solution enabler a Trust staff will be able to:
  • Share information more effectively across the organization
  • Collaborate when, and how, they need to
  • Discover tacit knowledge through search of workspaces
  • Make new contacts across the organization
