Office 2007 Compatibility: Perception or Reality?

The Microsoft CUI team is busy introducing the Office 2007 Early Adopter Programme to NHS Trusts.

This week, I was talking to a Trust:

"We can't use Office 2007 because it isn't compatible with our clinical application suite"

They referred me to the Strategic Health Authority for more information:

"We've heard it doesn't work with Office 2007"

Yesterday, I spoke to the software developer:

"We support Office 2007"

I love a story with a happy ending!

If you would like to know more about how the NHS CUI Programme can help you with your Office 2007 deployment then please get in touch.

Hi Neil I'm wondering how many NHS organisations are rolling out Office 2007? The Trust I'm hosted by (on behald of Dept of Health) uses Office 2003. However, it seems most at NIHR CRN in Leeds are using 2007 which can cause some problems when they're sending stuff out. Do you know of any decent business cases that local hosted teams can take forward to their IT Departments requesting Office 2007? bw Mark
