NHS organisations are facing new challenges. Healthcare delivery is becoming more complex and more regulated just as it is also being opened up to new providers, patient choice and the financial regime of Payment by Results.
Healthcare commissioners are being asked to take on new tasks and adapt to new ways of promoting health and planning to meet future demand.
As a company, Microsoft is creating and developing tools that will aim to meet these challenges - and in doing so deliver safe, effective and valued care to millions of patients.
But the Microsoft NHS Resource Centre isn’t here to push the latest products at you. Instead, it is here to discuss some of these big issues facing the health service and how technology can help to meet them, to identify the good work that is already going on in the NHS, and to provide practical advice and training.
We hope that, over time, it will grow to support communities of Microsoft users to share their experience, learning and skills.
