Terms and Conditions

Content and Participation

This community group is for use by NHS staff and other entities given specific permission to participate (such as academics or NHS IT partners with a specialist interest in process modelling).

Content, in the form of process models, may be contributed by and downloaded by any member of the group community (i.e. who has registered on the NHS Resource Centre and joined the Process Modelling Community).

Intellectual Property Rights

Content will be available to any member of the NHS Resource Centre by accessing the Process Modelling Community Library. Content is free for use within the NHS but may not be used for commercial for-profit purposes without the permission of the author of the content and/or their employing organisation. All IPR associated with the Process Models held in the library belongs to the National Health Service.

Code of conduct

Process models found within the library are stored with the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. Users may only upload process models for use on the library and no other kind of content will be permissible. Microsoft has the right to remove any inappropriate content immediately and the user will be removed as a member of the NHS Resource Centre.

Microsoft is not responsible for the acts and omissions of third party commercial and non-commercial partners or any member of the extended NHS Resource Centre community. However Microsoft will take appropriate action to remove all untoward content and/or users who have breached the terms and conditions associated with this web service.

Third parties involved in the Process Modelling Community are the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, TC analyzer and Simul8. All external third parties involved in the production and successful running of the Process Modelling Community abide by these terms and conditions and code of conduct.

Verification Terms and Conditions

1. The verification service offered via the Process Modelling Community is a third party service delivered entirely free of charge to all members of the Process Modelling Community group who choose to submit their process models for verification. Membership to this group and to the NHS Resource Centre itself is also free.

2. Microsoft does not have any involvement with the verification process and this service is delivered directly by the following third party partners:

3. Users who submit their process models for verification are entering into direct communication with one or more of the third party partners listed above, dependant on the notation used.

4. The verification process will take up to seven working days to be completed. Process models that have already been submitted for verification cannot be re-submitted while the verification process is still taking place.

5. Users may decide to voluntarily give their email addresses to one or more of the above third party partners in order to enter into a more detailed or private conversation with the verifier. This email communication is private between the user and the verifier. It is not maintained via the NHS Resource Centre website or Microsoft.

6. Users who submit their process models for verification will be notified in writing via a comment placed beneath the uploaded process model in the library. Comments are viewable by all members of the NHS Resource Centre. Should a user prefer to enter into a private conversation with the verifier, this should be requested by the user at the time of submission, in the appropriate comment/feedback box.

7. Verified process models will also bear the verification logo on the top right hand side of the page, to show that they have been successfully verified.

8. Should a process model not be fit for verification, the user will be notified by the verifier who will submit feedback beneath the process model, as a comment. Users can modify and re-submit process models for verification as necessary.

9. If you have any questions or concerns about the verification process, please email the NHS Resource Centre online team at nhsweb@microsoft.com.
